Six free planning tools built on the same numbers our planners quote from. Price a wedding, split a budget, choose between cities, check what a date costs, and see what should already be booked. No sign-up, no email wall.
Most wedding cost content stops at a range. These tools go further: they take your guest count, your city, your date and your budget, and tell you what is actually possible. Where the numbers do not work, they say so plainly rather than flattering the plan.
Each tool has its own page so you can go straight to the one you need. Everything is calibrated against our published cost research, so a tool will never contradict a guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these tools free?
Yes, entirely. There is no sign-up, no email wall and nothing is held back. We build them because the questions they answer are the ones we field every week.
How accurate are the numbers?
They are indicative planning ranges for 2026, calibrated against our published cost research and the quotes we see across Indian venues. They are not quotes. Real figures move with your specific venue, date, menu and vendor list.
Do the tools calculate an auspicious muhurat?
No, deliberately. A real muhurat depends on the panchang, both birth charts, your community’s conventions and your officiating priest. No calculator can do that responsibly. Our date tool covers the commercial side only.
Why does the budget tool sometimes say my plan will not work?
Because that is the most useful thing it can tell you. If your total divided by your guest count leaves less per plate than caterers will accept, no amount of negotiating fixes it. The guest list, not the vendor list, is the lever.
Can you plan the wedding these tools describe?
That is what we do. Team Velvet Knot works on a flat-fee model with no vendor commissions, so the budget you see is the budget you spend.
