Lead times reflect peak-season India (November to February), when venues and the better vendors book out first. Off-season you get more room. See booking lead times and the full planning checklist.

Behind on any of these? That is what we do, and we have done it on shorter notice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far ahead should we book a wedding venue in India?

Nine to twelve months for a peak-season date at a sought-after property, and longer for the handful of palaces and resorts that book out more than a year ahead. Off-season and Tier 2 cities are far more forgiving.

What should be booked first?

Venue and date, always. Everything else in the timeline is scheduled backwards from that, and every other vendor decision depends on it.

Can a wedding be planned in three months?

Yes, at a cost. The venue choice narrows sharply, the best photographers and decorators are usually gone, and you pay for speed. The timeline shows exactly which deadlines have already passed.
