Jaipur airport is roughly forty five minutes to an hour away. For guests flying in on the day of a function, that matters more than it sounds; two arrival waves with held coaches is usually cleaner than individual transfers.

Most weddings here run a welcome dinner in one of the smaller gardens, mehndi and sangeet split between Kanishka Bagh and a ballroom, the pheras on the Sundarban Lawn or in the Vikram Aditya Ballroom depending on season, and the reception in the largest indoor space.

Ranges are useful for orientation and useless for planning. Here is one concrete version, a 500-guest wedding across three days in shoulder season, with 120 rooms held for two nights and 150 for the third.

Move that wedding into peak season and the same plan lands closer to Rs 4 crore, almost entirely through room rate and per-plate escalation. Drop it to 300 guests and it falls under Rs 2.2 crore, because food scales linearly and it is your largest line.

The number families most often underestimate is services. Seven food services across three days is normal once you count welcome dinner, two breakfasts, mehndi lunch, sangeet dinner, wedding-day lunch and reception. Budgeting for four is the single most common costing error we see.

Season and date pricing at Jaipur scale

Jaipur’s wedding season concentrates into roughly October to March, and within that a handful of auspicious dates carry a premium that has nothing to do with the venue’s cost base and everything to do with demand.

Three practical consequences. A Tuesday in November is materially cheaper than the Saturday either side of it, and at 500 guests very few people actually care which day it is. A wedding where the building is the point. This is a superbly run modern luxury hotel in palace idiom, not a 300-year-old fort. If your family wants genuine heritage fabric, carved stone and the sense of a house with history, Chomu or a fort property will deliver something this cannot.

A wedding on a tight budget. The scale that makes it excellent for 600 guests makes it expensive for everyone. There is no cheap version of this venue.

Where it is genuinely the right answer: a large multi-day wedding, a guest list you cannot cut, families arriving from several cities, and a preference for everybody sleeping under one roof. On those criteria it has very few peers in Rajasthan.

Staffing and service ratios at 500 guests

One number worth asking about explicitly, because it is invisible in a quote and extremely visible on the night: how many service staff per table, and does that ratio hold on the lawn as well as in the ballroom.

Outdoor service is harder. Distances from the kitchen are longer, food travels further, and the same staffing that feels attentive indoors feels thin outside. If your largest function is on the Sundarban Lawn, the ratio there is the one that matters.

Ask also who your on-the-night point of contact is, by name, and what happens if that person is unwell. At a 200-room hotel running multiple events, the difference between a named banquet manager and a general duty manager is the difference between problems being solved and problems being escalated.
