November 2027 has eleven auspicious Hindu marriage dates by the Drik Panchang calendar for New Delhi, running from Prabodhini Ekadashi on Wednesday 10 November to Monday 29 November. They are the first dates after the four-month Chaturmas pause, so demand is concentrated. Only three fall on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday: the 20th, 21st and 26th. Your family priest confirms the final date and time.

The season reopens on 10 November
From Devshayani Ekadashi on 14 July 2027 until Prabodhini Ekadashi on 10 November 2027, most North Indian Hindu families hold no weddings. Prabodhini Ekadashi, also called Dev Uthani or Devutthana Ekadashi, marks the day Vishnu is said to wake from his four-month sleep, and in 2027 it is itself the first listed date, with a long window from 9:11 am to 11:40 pm. The months of August, September and October 2027 have no dates at all; our Chaturmas 2027 guide explains the pause and what families do during it.
Because November is the first month back, the families who waited through the monsoon all arrive at once. Venues, pandits, decorators and photographers that were quiet in October are fully booked within a few weeks of the season opening. If you want a November 2027 date at a sought-after venue, book it in the first half of 2027.
Diwali comes first
Diwali (Lakshmi Puja) falls on Friday 29 October 2027, twelve days before the first wedding date. That has two practical effects. Families are travelling, spending and hosting in the fortnight before the season opens, so guests who come home for Diwali may not come back again three weeks later; some families deliberately pick a date in the second or third week of November so relatives can stay on. And jewellery and clothing shopping peaks around Dhanteras and Diwali, so start trousseau orders early in October rather than in the festival rush.
The three weekend options
- Saturday 20 November: a window from 4:48 am on Saturday that runs into the early morning of Sunday 21st, under Magha. Most families use it for an evening or night ceremony.
- Sunday 21 November: a day window from 6:48 am to 7:25 pm, also under Magha. A daytime pheras with an evening reception fits easily.
- Friday 26 November: a short morning window from 6:52 am to 9:47 am under Swati, which suits a sunrise ceremony followed by a lunch reception.
The weekend of 20 and 21 November is the only Saturday and Sunday pair in the month, and in a season that has just reopened it will be the most contested weekend of late 2027. Treat it as a first-choice date only if you are booking very early.
The weekday dates
Eight of the eleven dates fall from Monday to Thursday. Weekday weddings are common in the season, and they have real advantages: venues and vendors are more likely to be free, some quote lower weekday rates, and guests who are travelling anyway for a multi-day wedding do not mind which day of the week the pheras fall on. The long windows to look at are Wednesday 10 November (the season opener), Monday 15 November into Tuesday morning, Tuesday 23 November into Wednesday, and Thursday 25 November into Friday morning. Monday 29 November has a window that begins at 2:12 am and runs for a full day into Tuesday.
Night windows in November
Several November 2027 windows carry on past midnight: the 11th into the 12th, the 15th into the 16th, the 20th into the 21st, the 23rd into the 24th, the 25th into the 26th and the 29th into the 30th. North Indian families often hold the pheras at night, after the baraat and dinner, and November evenings are comfortable for it in most of the plains. Plan for the temperature drop after midnight: shawls, heaters for elderly guests and hot beverages near the mandap.
Weather and air in late November
Late November is one of the best months for weddings in most of India: days are mild, the monsoon has gone from all but the southeast coast, and the hill stations are cold but clear. Two cautions. In the northern plains, and in Delhi NCR in particular, air quality is often poor in November, which matters for open-lawn events, fireworks and elderly guests; an indoor or covered fallback is sensible. And Tamil Nadu and the southeast coast receive the northeast monsoon from October to December, so outdoor plans there need a rain cover. Goa, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are all in good season.
Where November 2027 weddings go
Rajasthan’s palace hotels open their peak season around now; our palace wedding cost guide covers what they charge. Goa’s beach season starts in November too, and the Goa wedding cost guide explains its pricing. City hotels in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad are in full demand on every listed date. Late November is also a strong month for NRI families, whose winter leave typically begins in December; a date in the last week of November lets guests from abroad combine the wedding with time at home.

Tulsi Vivah and abhujh days
Tulsi Vivah, the ceremonial marriage of the tulsi plant to Vishnu, is observed around Prabodhini Ekadashi and the following days, and in many households it is the formal start of the wedding season. Some families also treat Dev Uthani itself as an abhujh day that needs no separate muhurat. Practice varies, so ask your priest; our abhujh muhurat guide explains the idea.
Regional calendars differ
These dates follow the North Indian panchang for New Delhi. South Indian families follow the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada or Malayalam calendar and their own muhurtham lists, which can include dates this table does not and exclude dates it does. Bengali families follow the Bengali panjika. See our South Indian muhurtham guide for how those calendars work.
