A wedding at Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya, Udaipur typically runs Rs 1.2 crore to Rs 3 crore for 200 to 300 guests over two or three days. It is a new luxury resort near Eklingji, north of Udaipur, with 117 to 130 rooms, more than five acres of gardens and lawns listed for up to 1,000 seated guests, which makes it one of the largest wedding resorts around the city.

The short answer
Budget Rs 1.2 crore to Rs 3 crore for a two-to-three day wedding at ITC Mementos Ekaaya with 200 to 300 guests. A two-night wedding of about 200 guests that fills the resort lands nearer the lower end; a three-night wedding of 300 with a lawn sangeet, a large production and premium bar approaches the top.
The resort does not publish a wedding rate card or per-plate price. New luxury resorts around Udaipur usually price weddings at Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,500 a plate per function once taxes and a full menu are included, and that is the band we plan with until the resort quotes. Rooms are the larger line: at a full-resort wedding, the room block often costs as much as the food.
What ITC Mementos Ekaaya is
Mementos is ITC Hotels’ luxury brand for experience-led resorts, and Ekaaya in Udaipur was its first property. It sits near Eklingji, the old temple town north of Udaipur on the road towards Nathdwara, in the Aravalli hills. Launch coverage described about 25,000 square feet of covered event space, including a ballroom, and more than five acres of gardens, which is far more open space than the palace hotels on the lake can offer.
That is the reason couples look at it. Udaipur’s famous lakeside palaces are beautiful but tight for a large guest list. Ekaaya gives a destination wedding the Udaipur name and the Aravalli setting with the lawns, rooms and production space of a modern resort.
Rooms: 117 or 130
Launch coverage gave 130 rooms; a later venue directory lists 117 suites and villas. The difference may reflect how the resort counts villas and suites, so confirm the current inventory before building a guest list around it.
At double occupancy, 117 to 130 keys house roughly 220 to 250 guests, enough for most destination weddings to stay entirely on site. That matters more here than in the city: Eklingji is about 30 to 40 minutes from central Udaipur, so guests who stay elsewhere face a drive for every function. Our guide to wedding hotel room blocks covers how to negotiate a full-resort block.
The event spaces
| Space | Capacity listed | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Frangipani Lawn | 1,000 seated, 750 standing | The wedding or the reception for the full guest list |
| Udaipur Stateroom | 648 seated, 240 standing | An indoor reception or a weather-proof wedding |
| Magical Garden | 500 seated, 350 standing | Sangeet or a cocktail evening |
| Magical Forest | 425 seated, 300 standing | Mehndi or a themed evening among trees |
| Pool Side Lawn | 200 seated, 95 standing | Haldi, a welcome lunch, a pool party |
These are directory figures, and the seated numbers being higher than the standing ones suggests they come from theatre-style layouts. For a wedding dinner with a stage, a dance floor and buffet counters, plan on well under the listed seated figure, and ask the resort for a floor plan for each space. Our venue capacity study explains how far brochure numbers shrink for a real wedding.
Where the money goes
| Line | Typical range, 250 guests, three nights | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Rooms and villas | Rs 45 lakh to Rs 1.2 crore | Full-resort block; villas and peak dates drive the top |
| Food and beverage | Rs 35 lakh to Rs 70 lakh | Five functions at Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,500 a plate, plus resident meals |
| Bar | Rs 10 lakh to Rs 30 lakh | Three evenings of premium bar |
| Decor and production | Rs 25 lakh to Rs 60 lakh | Large lawns need lighting, staging and power |
| Entertainment | Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh | A sangeet act, a DJ, Rajasthani folk performers |
| Photography and film | Rs 6 lakh to Rs 18 lakh | Three-day coverage |
| Transfers | Rs 2 lakh to Rs 6 lakh | Udaipur airport and city runs |
These are our planning estimates for a luxury Udaipur resort wedding of this size, not the resort’s quotes.
Three worked budgets
| Wedding | Guests | Format | Indicative total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Compact destination wedding | 150 | Two nights, three functions | Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1.3 crore |
| Classic Udaipur wedding | 200 to 250 | Two or three nights, full resort, lawn sangeet | Rs 1.2 crore to Rs 2.2 crore |
| Large three-day wedding | 300 | Three nights, full resort plus overflow, premium production | Rs 2 crore to Rs 3 crore |
The arithmetic behind the middle line: 230 guests across five functions at an average of Rs 5,000 a plate is about Rs 58 lakh in food, before resident breakfasts and lunches. A full-resort block of about 120 keys for three nights at an average of Rs 22,000 is about Rs 79 lakh. Decor for a lawn wedding, a sangeet and three smaller functions adds Rs 30 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. These are our estimates; the resort’s quote replaces them.
A three-day Ekaaya wedding
| When | Function | Space |
|---|---|---|
| Day one, afternoon | Arrivals and welcome lunch | Pool Side Lawn |
| Day one, evening | Mehndi with folk musicians | Magical Forest |
| Day two, morning | Haldi | Pool Side Lawn |
| Day two, evening | Sangeet | Magical Garden |
| Day three, evening | Pheras and wedding dinner | Frangipani Lawn |
| Day four, morning | Farewell brunch and departures | Resort |
Using each space once means the decor team can build each setup properly instead of turning a lawn around between functions, which keeps the cost down and every function looking finished.
Getting there
Udaipur’s Maharana Pratap Airport has direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and other cities. From the airport, the resort is roughly an hour’s drive, and from central Udaipur about 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. Plan transfers timed to each flight, keep the first function for the evening of the arrival day, and give guests who want to see the lake palaces a free morning with a shuttle into the city.
Season
October to March is the Udaipur wedding season, with November, December and February the busiest. The Aravalli setting means cool evenings in December and January, so plan heaters for lawn functions. From April the heat makes outdoor afternoons hard, and the monsoon from July to September brings rain but also green hills; a monsoon wedding needs every function to have a covered fallback, which the Stateroom and ballroom provide. Our muhurat calendar lists the winter dates that fill first.
Food at a Udaipur resort wedding
A destination wedding feeds guests for days, not one dinner, so plan breakfasts and lunches for every resident alongside the main functions and agree whether they are in the room rate. For the functions, Rajasthani dishes such as dal baati churma, gatte and laal maas suit the mehndi, while the wedding dinner usually adds North Indian, continental and Asian counters and a long dessert table. Ask the resort how many live counters it runs on the lawns, and whether a Jain or a specialist regional kitchen can be kept separate. Our guide to the per-plate cost of an Indian wedding explains how counters and taxes build the price.
Decor in the Aravallis
The resort’s lawns and gardens give a decorator room that the lake palaces do not, but open space also means building everything: staging, lighting, power and weather cover. The setting suits warm lighting, marigold and rose, lanterns in the trees of the Magical Forest and a mandap framed by the hills at sunset. Spend on lighting and the entrance rather than covering every surface in flowers; on a large lawn, a strong focal point reads better than scattered decor.
Photography
The hills around Eklingji turn gold in the last hour of daylight, and the gardens give a photographer variety without leaving the resort. A morning portrait session in the city, at the lake ghats or a heritage haveli, adds the classic Udaipur backdrop. Drones need permission, and areas near the airport are restricted, so confirm before booking an operator.
Guests between functions
A three-day wedding outside the city needs some free time built in. Eklingji’s temple complex is close to the resort and worth a morning visit for families who want it. Udaipur’s lake palaces, the City Palace museum and the old city ghats are a short drive away for guests who want to see the city, and a sunset boat on Lake Pichola is the outing most out-of-town guests remember. Keep one morning or afternoon free, run a shuttle into the city, and let older guests stay at the resort with the pool and spa.
ITC Mementos against other Udaipur venues
- Against Raffles Udaipur: Raffles is a lake-island resort with a strong sense of place and a smaller footprint. Ekaaya offers more lawns and rooms for a bigger guest list.
- Against The Oberoi Udaivilas or The Leela Palace: the lakeside palaces give the classic Udaipur view at a higher price per guest and with tighter space.
- Against Taj Aravali: another Aravalli resort outside the city; compare room counts, lawns and pricing for your date.
Our Udaipur wedding cost guide compares the full range of venues and budgets.
Who ITC Mementos suits
It suits a destination wedding of 200 to 300 guests who want Udaipur, plenty of lawn space and everyone under one roof, with the production budget to fill the gardens. It is less suited to couples who want a lake view at the ceremony itself, which only the lakeside palaces give, or to a small wedding that would rattle around in a resort of this size.
Questions to ask the resort
- What is the current room and villa count, and the full-resort rate per night?
- What is the seated dinner capacity of each lawn with a stage and buffets?
- Are resident breakfasts and lunches included in the room rate?
- Which decorators are allowed, and are there access or power charges?
- What is the rain plan for each lawn function?
- What are the cancellation and date-change terms for a full-resort booking?
What sits outside the quote
- GST and service charge, if the quote is shown before them.
- The bar and premium beverages.
- Decor, power and generator charges for large lawn setups.
- Transfers from the airport and runs into the city.
- Travel and stay for photographers, performers and the planning team.
